IC3 Research Labs

Precision and Intelligent Systems in Medicine Research Partnership (PRISMA^P), led by IC³ co-director by Azra Bihorac, is a collaborative research partnership for the design, development, and implementation of intelligent healthcare systems. PRISMA^P unites cross-disciplinary teams of experts to solve healthcare problems.

The Intelligent Health Lab (i-Heal), led by IC³ co-director Parisa Rashidi, is focused on transforming patient care in the ICU by developing autonomous monitoring tools using advanced machine learning techniques and developing intelligent tools for monitoring cognitive and mental conditions of community-dwelling patients.

Computational Microscopy Imaging Laboratory (CMIL), led by IC³ associate director for research Pinaki Sarder, develops novel computational methods to study and understand tissue micro-anatomy using spatial-omics data acquired via various technologies.

Smart Medical Informatics Learning and Evaluation (SMILE) lab, led by IC³ associate director for education Ruogu Fang, is using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to develop potential tools for the early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
