Azra Bihorac, MD, MS, FCCM, FASN

Dr. Azra Bihorac is the Senior Associate Dean for Research at the University of Florida College of Medicine; the R. Glenn Davis Distinguished Professor of Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Biomedical Engineering; the Director of the AI for Health Institute at the University of Florida; the Director of the Precision and Intelligent Systems in Medicine Research Partnership (PRISMAP); and Director of the Intelligent Clinical Care Center (IC3), a multi-disciplinary center transforming medical AI research, education, and clinical applications to advance patients’ health. Her research focuses on a trustworthy, reproducible, and ethical computing framework for artificial intelligence in medicine, particularly in nephrology and acute and critical care.

Parisa Rashidi, PhD

Dr. Rashidi is a professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at UF. She is also affiliated with the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), as well as Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) departments. She is the director of our partner lab, the “Intelligent Health Lab” (i-Heal). Her research aims to bridge the gap between machine learning and patient care.
