For a review in the January-February 2023 issue of Journal of Electrocardiology, Intelligent Critical Care Center (IC3) researchers including IC3 director Azra Bihorac and associate director for research Tyler Loftus collaborated with faculty from the University of Virginia, Carnegie Mellon University, and University of Pittsburgh to comment on the strong potential of continuous ECG monitoring for the early detection of clinical deterioration.
In the review, “Continuous ECG monitoring should be the heart of bedside AI-based predictive analytics monitoring for early detection of clinical deterioration,” the authors describe five reasons why continuous ECG monitoring would be highly valuable in AI-based predictive analytics.
